Nasi Lemak House

After weeks of eating non-lemak food, finally we can go and eat the thing that we crave for the most in Oz---- NASI LEMAK!
Me and Amrah always eat at Lazzat @ Lygon, the nasi lemak at Lazzat served with rendang. This is the first time we try another nasi lemak restaurant in the city. Luckily for us we have nasi lemak sold in our campus but it's not everyday we eat them. For my case, it's not available everyday. Btw, I cook myslf to save more money. So... anyway get back to the yummy thingy. Nasi Lemak House, 113, Grattan Street, Carlton, Melbourne, Victoria. For those who come across this and wish to look for the restaurant. (sorry I forgot to take a picture of the shop itself) It's on the Official Melbourne City Guide That's Melbourne (with map).
Me and Sue ordered Nasi Lemak Kerabu! Big yummy drumstick, check. 'Keropoks', check. Spicy sambal, check. Peanuts, check. Ikan bilis (ancovy), check. Cumber slices, check. Seasoned bawang (onion--->the only that indicates this is 'Kerabu style, how pathetic T_T), check. Telu dadar (omellette), check. Nasi lemak (coconut rice), check.
Nasi Lemak Kerabu dua, with Teh Tarik (milk tea?) and bottled teh-o-ais (ALL Asian shops and restaurants sell bottled Lipton Iced-tea. I wonder why they do not bother to make Teh-O-Ais malaysian style. Is it that difficult? I know it isn't! I have to say that the coconut rice is disappointing :( OK lah, my standard for a good nasi lemak is very high OK. Monash University's nasi lemak is the best, in Melbourne. Nasi Lemak House is attractive because of its varieties of nasi lemak we never heard of back in Malaysia.
Like, Nasi Lemak Langkawi! Another one similar with this is Nasi Lemak Seafood, but with prawns and all-----I want to try that on my next visit. Amrah's Nasi Lemak Langkawi and teh tarik :)
And the most shocking of all.... Nasi Lemak VEGETARIAN!!! Seketul ikan bilis pun tak ade! Sorry, I lied. Actually there is seketul ikan bilis, which is accidently mixed inside the peanuts, haha. Lame joke. Ordered by Susheel. She has to be a vegetarian this weekend.
